OSE-230

OSE-230 is a first-in-class monoclonal antibody developed to activate ChemR23 (chemerin chemokine-like receptor 1, also known as CMKLR1), a G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) expressed on myeloid immune cells such as macrophages and neutrophils. By acting as an agonist of ChemR23, OSE-230 triggers pro-resolutive programs in these immune cells, promoting the resolution of chronic inflammation rather than simply suppressing inflammatory pathways. This mechanism leads to restoration of tissue homeostasis and integrity by reducing leukocyte infiltration, tissue lesions, fibrosis, and inflammation-driven tumor development. Preclinical studies have demonstrated efficacy in models of chronic colitis, type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis, and cancer-associated inflammation. The drug is being developed through a partnership between OSE Immunotherapeutics and AbbVie for the treatment of various chronic inflammatory diseases[1][4][5][6][7][8].
