OSE-279 is a high-affinity, humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor. By binding to PD-1, it blocks its interaction with both of its ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2, which are often overexpressed by tumor cells and cells in the tumor microenvironment. This blockade releases the inhibition on T-cell activity imposed by the PD-1 pathway, thereby enhancing immune-mediated antitumor responses. OSE-279 is being developed as an immune checkpoint inhibitor for use in advanced solid tumors and lymphomas where there are limited therapeutic options. It is also being explored as a backbone therapy for combination regimens within the BiCKI platform targeting additional immune checkpoints[2][5][8].
