Overview

Osemitamab is a **high-affinity humanized monoclonal antibody** that targets Claudin18.2, a tight junction protein selectively expressed on the surface of certain tumor cells. It possesses enhanced antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) activities. Osemitamab was developed to eliminate Claudin18.2-expressing tumor cells—primarily in gastrointestinal malignancies such as gastric cancer, gastroesophageal junction cancer, and pancreatic cancer—by triggering immune effector functions that mediate direct tumor cell killing. It has demonstrated potent anti-tumor activity in both preclinical and clinical settings, independent of KRAS mutation status. Osemitamab is being investigated as monotherapy and in combination with approved agents (such as Nivolumab and CAPOX) in advanced or metastatic settings.
