Overview
A combination therapy consisting of osimertinib, a third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and high-dose intravenous vitamin C. This combination is being investigated for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in patients with EGFR mutations. The rationale is that high-dose vitamin C may enhance the efficacy of osimertinib and potentially delay the development of drug resistance, which typically occurs within a median of 19 months with osimertinib monotherapy.
