Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ositab is an oral, third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) developed and manufactured by Azista Bhutan Healthcare. It is a formulation of osimertinib, designed to target both EGFR-sensitizing mutations and the T790M resistance mutation while sparing wild-type EGFR. Ositab is indicated for the treatment of patients with metastatic EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly those who have progressed on or after prior EGFR TKI therapy. As a small molecule inhibitor, it binds irreversibly to the kinase domain of EGFR, effectively blocking downstream signaling pathways that drive tumor cell proliferation and survival.
