OSSGROW

OSSGROW is an autologous bone cell therapy developed by Regrow Biosciences for the treatment of avascular necrosis (AVN), also known as osteonecrosis. The therapy involves harvesting a patient's own bone marrow from the iliac crest, from which osteoblasts (bone-forming cells) are isolated and cultured in a GMP-compliant facility for 3-4 weeks. These cultured cells are then transplanted back into the patient's affected bone via a minimally invasive core decompression procedure. Once implanted, the osteoblasts differentiate into mature bone tissue, facilitating the regeneration and restoration of the joint's structure and function. OSSGROW received marketing authorization from the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) in 2017 and has been granted Orphan Drug Designation by the US FDA and the EMA.
