Overview

Ossium is a product developed by Ossium Health, comprising cryopreserved hematopoietic progenitor cells (HPCs) and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from the vertebral bodies of deceased organ donors. These cells are banked for on-demand use in allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) as an alternative graft source. The product aims to reconstitute the hematopoietic system. Additionally, matched vertebral bone adherent MSCs (vBA-MSC) are intended to facilitate chimerism, promote immunomodulation, and enhance the safety of bone marrow infusions, with potential applications in inducing immune tolerance for solid organ and vascular composite allografts.
