Ossium HPC Marrow is a cryopreserved, minimally manipulated hematopoietic progenitor cell (HPC) product derived from the bone marrow of vertebral bodies harvested from deceased organ donors. Developed by Ossium Health, it serves as an "off-the-shelf" allogeneic graft source for patients with hematologic malignancies (such as acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and myelodysplastic syndrome) who lack suitable living HLA-matched donors. The product is processed using proprietary methods to maintain cell viability and is intended for hematopoietic reconstitution. It is currently being evaluated in the Phase 1 PRESERVE 1 clinical trial (NCT05589896) and the HOPE Expanded Access Program, and is also being studied as an adjunct to islet transplantation in Type 1 diabetes to improve glycemic control.
