**OsteoActivator-P** is an investigational, drug-eluting guided-bone-regeneration medical device developed by Osteo-Pharma for localized alveolar ridge preservation after dental extraction. It consists of a porcine pericard collagen barrier membrane with a biodegradable PLGA coating that provides sustained local delivery of **testosterone** and **alendronate**. Testosterone is intended to stimulate osteoblast-mediated bone formation, while alendronate inhibits osteoclast-mediated bone resorption, with the combined local effect intended to accelerate formation of high-quality bone and enable earlier dental implant placement. OsteoActivator-P entered a randomized prospective clinical study in the Netherlands comparing the coated membrane with an uncoated collagen membrane.
