Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OsteoCure (brand name OCTA1) is a small molecule drug-device combination being developed by OsteoCure Therapeutics, a spinout from Duke University. The product consists of the active ingredient adenosine delivered via a proprietary injectable scaffold containing adenosine-loaded microgels. This delivery system is designed for localized, sustained release at the site of orthopedic injury to modulate inflammation, stimulate osteogenesis (bone formation), and provide opioid-sparing pain relief. OsteoCure is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of orthopedic conditions including bone fractures, spinal fusions, orthopedic trauma, and osteoporosis.
