Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Osteohalt (including Osteohalt Plus) is a line of oral joint health supplements developed by Primus Remedies, primarily indicated for the management of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and general joint discomfort. The standard Osteohalt formulation is a fixed-dose combination containing glucosamine, diacerein, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), hyaluronic acid, and Boswellia extract. The Osteohalt Plus formulation contains glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate, rose hip extract, hyaluronic acid, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), collagen, and curcumin (Curcuma longa extract). Together, these ingredients work synergistically to support cartilage repair, reduce joint inflammation, slow cartilage degradation, and improve joint lubrication and mobility. Diacerein acts as an interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) inhibitor to slow joint degeneration, while Boswellia extract and curcumin inhibit inflammatory pathways such as 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). Glucosamine and chondroitin serve as essential building blocks for cartilage synthesis, and hyaluronic acid provides joint lubrication.
