Osteon III collagen is a synthetic bone graft material composed of biphasic calcium phosphate—specifically, 60% hydroxyapatite (HA) and 40% beta-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP)—combined with highly purified type I collagen derived from porcine tendon. This composite is designed to be osteoconductive, supporting new bone formation by providing a scaffold for cell attachment and proliferation. The addition of type I collagen enhances the handling properties and biocompatibility of the graft, making it moldable and easy to use in various dental and orthopedic procedures such as sinus lifts, ridge augmentation, extraction socket grafting, cystic cavity filling, periodontal defects, and guided bone regeneration. The product is resorbable over time as natural bone replaces the graft material[1][4][10].
