Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**OSTEOproSPINE** is a clinical-stage bone-regeneration therapy developed for lumbar spinal fusion in adults with degenerative disc disease. The product, also designated **OSTEOGROW-A**, consists of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 6 delivered in autologous peripheral-blood coagulum and reinforced with bone-bank allograft as a compression-resistant osteoconductive matrix. Recombinant BMP6 promotes osteogenesis and vertebral fusion through BMP signaling, with the goal of replacing iliac-crest autograft and avoiding graft-harvest morbidity. Genera Research sponsored a Phase II randomized, blinded PLIF study in 143 patients; the registered study ended on March 13, 2023, with results posted in February 2026.
