Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OsteoTorrent is a demineralized bone matrix (DBM) putty developed by SeaSpine Holdings Corporation (now part of Orthofix). It is a biologic bone graft substitute composed of a combination of demineralized bone matrix and demineralized porous cancellous bone (access bone matrix). Designed for use in spinal fusion and other orthopedic procedures, the product is packaged and sterilized in a dry state, allowing surgeons to reconstitute it with saline, blood, or bone marrow aspirate. This formulation is intended to maximize osteoinductive potential and provide a long shelf-life. It builds upon the technology used in SeaSpine's Evo3 and OsteoSurge 300 product lines.
