Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ostrolux is a topical analgesic cream developed by 3V Medical Research Group for the management of pain associated with osteoarthritis, radiation dermatitis, and other chronic pain conditions. Its active ingredient, 3VM1000, is a patent-protected formulation consisting of a suspension of copper compounds in a dilute copper solution. The drug's mechanism of action involves binding to opioid receptors at the site of application to provide a local analgesic effect. The formulation utilizes Versabase, a widely used cream base, to facilitate transdermal absorption of the active copper compounds. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical studies, with an Investigational New Drug (IND) status.
