Overview

**OSU-2131** is an investigational Epstein-Barr virus preventive peptide vaccine developed by Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. It consists of the synthetic BZLF1-derived peptide RAKFKQLL complexed with recombinant human heat shock cognate protein 70. Following subcutaneous administration, the vaccine is intended to elicit cytotoxic T-lymphocyte responses against BZLF1-expressing Epstein-Barr virus-infected cells, with the goal of preventing Epstein-Barr virus infection and Epstein-Barr virus-driven malignancies, including post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease, in people awaiting solid-organ transplantation. It is being evaluated with the QS-21 adjuvant in a phase 1B study; QS-21 is a separately administered trial adjuvant and is not part of OSU-2131 itself.
