OTO-6XX

OTO-6XX is a preclinical hair cell regeneration program developed by Otonomy for the treatment of severe sensorineural hearing loss. The program utilizes a novel class of small molecules, licensed from KYORIN Pharmaceutical, formulated using Otonomy's proprietary technology for sustained-exposure local delivery to the inner ear. The therapeutic approach aims to regenerate hair cells, which are essential for hearing and often damaged or lost in cases of severe hearing loss. Nonclinical proof-of-concept models have demonstrated the ability of these small molecules to induce hair cell regeneration following a single local administration.
