Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Otoact is a veterinary ear cleanser developed by Nextmune for use in dogs and cats. It is specifically formulated as a gentle ceruminolytic designed to dissolve excess earwax (cerumen) without irritating the ear canal. The product's primary active ingredient is squalene, a highly effective wax-dissolving agent, complemented by salicylic acid for its keratolytic and antiseptic properties. Additionally, it contains tannic acid as an astringent and Chamomilla recutita flower extract to provide soothing, anti-inflammatory relief to the ear lining. Otoact is used to maintain ear hygiene in companion animals prone to chronic wax buildup and as a supportive treatment for managing otitis externa.
