Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Otodolor is an Austrian **homeopathic combination ear-drop medicine** for topical otic use. It contains homeopathic dilutions of *Capsicum annuum*, *Matricaria recutita*, *Pulsatilla pratensis*, silicic acid, and boric acid. It is indicated for symptomatic decongestion and pain relief in disorders of the external auditory canal, including irritation, redness, and eczematous crusting. Its labeled use is based exclusively on homeopathic experience rather than an established target-specific pharmacologic mechanism. Otodolor was originally developed by Dr. Peithner and was evaluated with Otodolor forte in a completed prospective non-interventional study in otitis externa.
