Overview

Otosynalar is a fixed-dose combination otic solution developed by Laboratorios Osorio de Moraes for the treatment of inflammatory and infectious conditions of the external ear canal, including acute external otitis and associated otalgia. The formulation combines fluocinolone acetonide, a synthetic corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and antipruritic properties; neomycin sulfate and polymyxin B sulfate, which provide broad-spectrum antibacterial coverage against common otic pathogens; and lidocaine hydrochloride, a local anesthetic that provides symptomatic relief from ear pain. It is typically administered as ear drops and has been evaluated in Phase III clinical trials in Brazil as a reference treatment for symptomatic control of ear pain.
