OTUD6B-AS1 small interfering RNA is an experimental RNA interference (RNAi) agent designed to silence the expression of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) OTUD6B-AS1. In the context of cervical cancer, OTUD6B-AS1 is often upregulated and contributes to cisplatin resistance by acting as a molecular sponge for miR-206, which in turn leads to the upregulation of Cyclin D2 (CCND2). By targeting and facilitating the degradation of OTUD6B-AS1 transcripts, this siRNA restores miR-206 levels, reduces CCND2 expression, and sensitizes resistant cancer cells to cisplatin treatment. This approach represents a potential therapeutic strategy for overcoming chemoresistance in gynecological malignancies.
