Overview

OTX-TIC (AM008) is a long-acting, bioresorbable intracameral implant containing travoprost, a prostaglandin F2α analog. Developed by Ocular Therapeutix and licensed to AffaMed Therapeutics for Greater China and other Asian markets, it utilizes a proprietary hydrogel-based delivery technology. The implant is designed to be injected into the anterior chamber of the eye to provide sustained reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, potentially replacing the need for daily topical eye drops and improving patient adherence.
