OvaCyst

OvaCyst is a veterinary injectable formulation of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analog gonadorelin diacetate tetrahydrate, containing 50 mcg/mL gonadorelin, used in cattle for reproductive management. By mimicking endogenous hypothalamic GnRH, gonadorelin stimulates the anterior pituitary to release luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), thereby inducing ovulation and luteinization of follicular ovarian cysts and enabling synchronization of estrous cycles when used in timed artificial insemination (FTAI) protocols with prostaglandin analogs such as cloprostenol sodium.[1][7] It is supplied as a sterile intramuscular or intravenous solution for use by licensed veterinarians in dairy and beef cows for treatment of cystic ovaries and for estrus synchronization programs.[1]
