Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Ovarest** is an investigational oral tablet formulation of the synthetic peptide leuprolide, developed with Enteris BioPharma's Peptelligence oral-delivery technology for the treatment of endometriosis-associated pelvic pain. Leuprolide is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist; sustained receptor stimulation suppresses pituitary gonadotropin secretion and ovarian estradiol production, creating a hypoestrogenic therapeutic effect. Enteris reported Phase 2a proof-of-concept data and subsequently conducted a Phase 2 dose-finding study in women with endometriosis.
