Overview

The ovarian cancer vaccine is a novel immunotherapy developed by Cleveland Clinic and exclusively licensed worldwide to Anixa Biosciences. This vaccine is designed to prevent ovarian cancer by stimulating the immune system to recognize and target "retired" proteins that are re-expressed in cancer cells. The technology aims to prevent tumor formation by eliciting an immune response against these specific cancer-associated proteins. Anixa Biosciences is collaborating with Cleveland Clinic on its development, which is currently in preclinical stages.
