Overview

OVARVLYSIS is a preclinical-stage oncolytic virus therapy being developed by CZ BioMed for the treatment of ovarian cancer. It is a specific variant of the company's RVLYSIS platform, which utilizes genetically engineered common cold-derived viruses, specifically based on the human Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). The virus is engineered to selectively replicate within and lyse tumor cells while sparing normal, healthy tissue. The mechanism of action involves direct oncolysis, the induction of apoptosis in malignant cells, and the stimulation of a systemic anti-tumor immune response.
