Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OvaTure was a preclinical cell-based fertility treatment developed by OvaScience, initially in collaboration with Intrexon. The treatment aimed to mature a woman's own egg precursor cells into fertilizable oocytes to address infertility. The underlying science for OvaTure was considered unproven and controversial. OvaScience terminated its exclusive collaboration agreement with Intrexon for OvaTure in May 2018, intending to pursue its development internally or with other partners, but its development for fertility treatment was ultimately terminated.
