Overview

Ovizumab is a trispecific antibody being developed by Shaperon for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Developed using Shaperon's NanoMab platform, which utilizes nanobody technology, ovizumab is designed to simultaneously engage three distinct targets: CD3 on T cells, the co-stimulatory molecule 4-1BB (CD137), and a tumor-associated antigen (TAA). The mechanism of action involves recruiting T cells to the tumor site via CD3 binding, while providing a potent co-stimulatory signal through 4-1BB to enhance T-cell activation, proliferation, and survival within the tumor microenvironment. By targeting a specific TAA, the antibody aims to localize this immune activation to the tumor, potentially increasing therapeutic efficacy while reducing systemic side effects. Ovizumab is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
