Overview

OVM-200 is a therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by Oxford Vacmedix using their proprietary recombinant overlapping peptide (ROP) platform. The vaccine targets survivin, an anti-apoptosis protein that is overexpressed in many solid tumors and helps cancer cells evade immune destruction. By presenting redesigned peptides derived from survivin, OVM-200 stimulates the development of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) that specifically target and kill survivin-expressing tumor cells. The design retains critical T and B cell epitopes while eliminating the oncoprotein’s conformational structure to enhance safety and immunogenicity, functioning as a neoantigen-like vaccine. OVM-200 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), prostate cancer, and ovarian cancer.
