Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OVT-101 is an investigational off-the-shelf gamma delta CAR-T cell therapy developed by OverT Bio for the treatment of ovarian cancer and other Claudin-6 (CLDN6) positive solid tumors. The therapy utilizes gamma delta T cells, which offer potential advantages in solid tumor infiltration and a reduced risk of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) in an allogeneic setting compared to traditional alpha-beta T cells. OVT-101 is engineered using OverT Bio's proprietary massively-parallel overexpression platform to enhance potency and durability through novel reprogramming strategies. By targeting CLDN6, a fetal antigen with high expression in various malignancies but minimal presence in healthy adult tissues, OVT-101 aims to provide a highly specific and effective treatment option for difficult-to-treat solid tumors.
