OVV-04

OVV-04 is a preclinical-stage oncolytic virus therapy developed by Joint Biosciences for the treatment of solid tumors. The drug is based on a Vesicular Stomatitis Virus (VSV) platform that has been engineered to specifically target Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a protein frequently overexpressed in various gastrointestinal malignancies, including gastric and pancreatic cancers. OVV-04 is designed to selectively infect and lyse CLDN18.2-positive tumor cells, leading to direct cell death and the release of tumor-associated antigens. This process is intended to stimulate a robust, systemic anti-tumor immune response, potentially overcoming the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment and providing a targeted therapeutic approach for CLDN18.2-expressing solid tumors.
