Overview

**oVV-ING4** is an engineered oncolytic vaccinia virus designed to express the human ING4 (Inhibitor of Growth Family Member 4) tumor suppressor gene for use in cancer therapy. The virus selectively replicates in and lyses cancer cells while delivering the ING4 gene, which can suppress tumor growth by inducing cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, inhibiting angiogenesis, and modulating the tumor microenvironment. ING4 influences key pathways, including p53 and NF-κB signaling, chromatin acetylation, and the regulation of angiogenesis-related genes such as IL-6, IL-8, COX-2, u-PA, Ang-1, and VEGF[1]. oVV-ING4 aims to combine the direct oncolytic effects of vaccinia virus with the anti-tumor and anti-angiogenic activities of ING4 to enhance therapeutic efficacy in various malignancies.
