Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OVX836 + GC FLU is a next-generation combination influenza vaccine candidate being co-developed by Osivax and GC Biopharma. It combines OVX836, a proprietary broad-spectrum influenza A vaccine candidate based on a recombinant self-assembling nucleoprotein (NP) nanoparticle, with GC FLU, a standard-dose inactivated seasonal influenza vaccine. The combination is designed to elicit both T-cell immune responses against the highly conserved NP antigen and antibody responses against the hemagglutinin (HA) surface antigen. This dual mechanism aims to provide broader and more durable protection against seasonal and potentially pandemic influenza strains compared to traditional vaccines.
