oxabolone cipionate

Oxabolone cipionate is a synthetic anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) and the C17β cypionate ester prodrug of oxabolone (4-hydroxy-19-nortestosterone), itself a derivative of 19-nortestosterone (nandrolone). Upon administration, it is hydrolyzed to release active oxabolone, which binds to androgen receptors in muscle and other tissues. This receptor activation leads to increased protein synthesis and muscle hypertrophy. Oxabolone cipionate was formerly used in Europe for the treatment of osteoporosis but is now considered experimental and no longer produced by pharmaceutical companies. It has been banned as a performance-enhancing drug in sports due to its anabolic effects[1][2][3][4][6].
