Overview

Oxlone-D is a fixed-dose combination pharmaceutical product developed and marketed by Tabq Therapeutics, primarily indicated for the management of osteoarthritis. It combines two active ingredients: oxaceprol and diacerein. Oxaceprol is an anti-inflammatory agent that functions by inhibiting the adhesion and migration of leukocytes to the vascular endothelium, thereby reducing joint inflammation and pain without the typical gastrointestinal side effects associated with traditional NSAIDs. Diacerein is a slow-acting symptomatic treatment for osteoarthritis that acts by inhibiting the production and activity of interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β), a key pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in cartilage degradation and synovial inflammation. The combination is designed to provide both symptomatic relief and potential disease-modifying benefits in degenerative joint diseases.
