Overview

OXB-302 is an autologous second-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‑cell therapy targeting the oncofoetal antigen 5T4, which is highly expressed on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells, leukemic stem cells, and many solid tumors while showing restricted expression on normal tissues.[1][2][7][16][5] Developed by Oxford Biomedica using its lentiviral LentiVector platform, OXB-302 T cells are engineered via an optimized lentiviral transduction and expansion process to enhance potency and cytotoxicity against 5T4-positive malignant cells in both hematologic and solid tumor models.[1][2][7][16][3][5] The program was advanced as a lead proprietary oncology asset primarily for AML and broader 5T4-positive cancers, but efficacy evaluation was later completed at the preclinical stage and further development was halted by the company.[11]
