Overview

Oxiperomide is a typical antipsychotic drug of the butyrophenone chemical class. It acts primarily as a selective antagonist at dopamine D2 receptors. Oxiperomide is structurally related to haloperidol and was developed for the treatment of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. It is not widely available globally and has been withdrawn or discontinued in many markets.
