Overview

OXM-001 is a novel, long-acting oxyntomodulin analogue developed by Nordic Bioscience and its subsidiary KeyBioscience. It acts as a dual agonist of the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) and the glucagon receptor (GCGR). In preclinical models of diet-induced obesity, OXM-001 has demonstrated robust efficacy in reducing body weight, lowering cumulative food intake, and improving glucose tolerance. It has shown superior acute weight-loss efficacy compared to other dual agonists like cotadutide (MEDI0382).
