Overview

Oxydyan is a nutraceutical supplement developed by the Italian company Ghimas, designed to combat oxidative stress and support cellular energy metabolism. The formulation combines Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) and Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol), two potent lipid-soluble antioxidants. Coenzyme Q10 acts as an essential electron carrier within the mitochondrial electron transport chain, specifically facilitating electron transfer at Complexes I and II to support the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Simultaneously, both Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamin E function as scavengers of reactive oxygen species (ROS), protecting cellular components and lipid membranes from oxidative damage and lipid peroxidation. Oxydyan is marketed as a food supplement to maintain physiological well-being in conditions characterized by high oxidative demand or mitochondrial insufficiency.
