Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OyaGen's HER-driven oncology program is a preclinical-stage effort focused on the development of first-in-class small molecule inhibitors targeting the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (HER) family. This family of receptor tyrosine kinases includes EGFR (HER1), HER2 (ERBB2), HER3 (ERBB3), and HER4 (ERBB4), which are frequently implicated in the proliferation and survival of various solid tumors. The program aims to address therapeutic resistance encountered with existing HER-targeted agents, such as monoclonal antibodies and earlier-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), by utilizing a novel binding mechanism or targeting multiple family members simultaneously. The lead compounds are being optimized for the treatment of HER-driven malignancies, including breast, lung, and gastric cancers.
