Overview

OZC-005 is a chaperone-mediated protein degradation (CMPD) agent being developed by ONCOZEN. It specifically targets the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (HER) family. Unlike traditional targeted protein degradation (TPD) approaches such as PROTACs, which utilize the ubiquitin-proteasome system, OZC-005 leverages the cell's chaperone-mediated autophagy pathway to degrade oncogenic proteins. The drug is currently in the lead optimization stage, with a primary focus on the treatment of biliary tract cancer.
