Overview

Ozogamicin is a calicheamicin derivative used as a cytotoxic agent in antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). It works by inducing double-strand DNA breaks, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in targeted cancer cells. Ozogamicin is linked to monoclonal antibodies targeting specific antigens on cancer cells, such as CD33 in Gemtuzumab ozogamicin and CD22 in Inotuzumab ozogamicin[1][4].
