Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ozonol is a topical first-aid ointment brand used for the treatment of minor skin injuries, including cuts, scrapes, minor burns, and skin irritations. Developed by Exzell Pharma (now a subsidiary of Biolab Pharma), the product line includes two primary formulations: Ozonol Original and Ozonol Antibiotics Plus. The Original formulation typically contains phenol and zinc oxide, providing antiseptic and skin-protective properties. The Antibiotics Plus version incorporates a triple-antibiotic blend (polymyxin B sulfate, bacitracin zinc, and neomycin sulfate) to prevent infection, along with lidocaine hydrochloride for topical pain relief. It is a long-standing over-the-counter (OTC) product in the Canadian market, designed to provide soothing relief without stinging.
