Ozotel-AMH

Ozotel-AMH is a fixed-dose combination antihypertensive medication manufactured by Ozone Pharmaceuticals. It contains three active ingredients: telmisartan (40mg), amlodipine (5mg), and hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg). Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that selectively binds to the AT1 receptor, preventing the vasoconstrictive and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II. Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits the transmembrane influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, resulting in peripheral vasodilation. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that acts on the distal convoluted tubule to inhibit sodium and chloride resorption, thereby increasing water excretion and reducing plasma volume. This triple therapy is typically prescribed for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by dual therapy, helping to mitigate the risk of cardiovascular complications such as stroke and myocardial infarction.
