Overview

P-Esbp-DOX is a preclinical **E-selectin-targeted HPMA polymer-doxorubicin conjugate** developed from research at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and licensed to Vaxil Bio. The construct displays a high-affinity E-selectin-binding peptide on an N-(2-hydroxypropyl)methacrylamide polymer carrier and carries covalently conjugated doxorubicin. It is designed to bind activated, inflamed and angiogenic tumor endothelium expressing E-selectin, promote endothelial uptake and local delivery of doxorubicin, thereby impairing tumor-associated vasculature and suppressing metastatic tumor growth. In mouse studies, intravenous P-Esbp-DOX improved survival and reduced metastatic burden in colorectal cancer liver metastasis and lung cancer metastasis models.
