Drug intelligence / Profile preview
P-Flor is a proprietary probiotic formulation developed by PharmaNutra, consisting of four specific bacterial strains: *Lactobacillus acidophilus* (LMG P-21901), *Bifidobacterium breve* (LMG P-17501), *Bifidobacterium infantis* (LMG P-17502), and *Bifidobacterium longum* (LMG P-17503). The product is designed to modulate the gut microbiota, restore intestinal homeostasis, and reinforce the intestinal mucosal barrier. It is primarily investigated for its therapeutic potential in managing intestinal dysbiosis and gluten-related disorders like Celiac disease, as well as complications associated with chronic kidney disease. While marketed primarily as a dietary supplement, its specific strain composition and ongoing clinical evaluation for therapeutic efficacy in inflammatory and autoimmune conditions make it a subject of interest in the microbiome-based therapeutic landscape. It should be noted that 'P-Flor' was also historically used as a brand name for a now-discontinued sodium fluoride pediatric formulation by Paddock Laboratories.
