Drug intelligence / Profile preview
P-G3 PAMAM (polyamidoamine generation 3) is a positively charged (cationic) dendrimer nanomolecule originally developed by researchers at Columbia University and licensed/developed by Sable Therapeutics. It is designed to selectively target adipose tissue (specifically visceral fat) through charge-based interactions with the negatively charged extracellular matrix (ECM) of white adipose tissue. In preclinical models, P-G3 PAMAM uncouples lipid synthesis and storage from adipocyte development, reducing fat-cell volume and lipid accumulation without causing cytotoxicity. It is being explored for both therapeutic applications in obesity and metabolic diseases, as well as cosmetic applications (under the trade name Adicel) for localized fat reduction and improving the visible appearance of body skin.
