Drug intelligence / Profile preview
P-PSMA-ALL01 is an allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy under development by Poseida Therapeutics for the treatment of solid tumors, particularly those expressing prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), such as prostate cancer. Unlike autologous CAR-T therapies, which use a patient’s own cells, P-PSMA-ALL01 is designed as an off-the-shelf product using donor-derived T cells that are genetically engineered to target PSMA on tumor cells. The therapy leverages Poseida’s proprietary non-viral gene engineering technologies, including the piggyBac DNA modification system and advanced gene-editing platforms. The primary mechanism of action involves immunologic cytotoxicity mediated by CAR-modified T lymphocytes targeting PSMA-expressing tumor cells[3][9]. As of the latest available information, P-PSMA-ALL01 remains in preclinical development for indications such as prostatic cancer and salivary gland carcinoma[3][9].
