Overview

P-PSMA-ALLO1 is an allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy in preclinical development for the treatment of prostate cancer and other solid tumors. It targets prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), a protein highly expressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells and some other tumor types. The therapy uses gene-edited donor-derived T cells engineered to express a CAR specific for PSMA, enabling them to recognize and kill PSMA-expressing tumor cells through immunologic cytotoxicity. This approach aims to provide an "off-the-shelf" cell therapy option that does not require patient-specific manufacturing. Developed by Poseida Therapeutics, P-PSMA-ALLO1 is part of their universal CAR-T platform designed for broad application in solid tumors[1][2][9].
