P-TEA (Personalized Tissue-Engineered Arteries) is a tissue-engineered arterial graft developed by VERIGRAFT for the treatment of arterial diseases, including peripheral artery disease (PAD), ischemic heart disease requiring coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), and dialysis access. The product is created by decellularizing donated allogeneic blood vessels to produce a biological scaffold, which is then reconditioned with the recipient's own peripheral blood. This process allows autologous blood components to mask the extracellular matrix, preventing immune rejection without the need for long-term immunosuppressants and facilitating rapid recellularization by the patient's cells after surgical implantation. Preclinical studies in sheep have demonstrated that P-TEA grafts are safe, maintain patency, and undergo successful endothelialization.
